During Covid-19 lockdown in 2020, Neilston Parish Church created a dedicated YouTube channel that we broadcast recorded services onto.
As lockdown eased and we returned to in-person worship, initially restricted to low numbers and then increased numbers, we kept the YouTube service going and started to live-stream the services as they happened at 11:00am each Sunday morning.
That has continued for the past few years now, thanks to the dedicated small team of volunteers who make this happen. We know there have been only occasional interruptions due to some intermittent technical problems.
In recent weeks, due to a combination of factors affecting our volunteers' availability, that small team has reduced and we have been unable so far to get enough new volunteers trained up quickly enough to keep the service going in the same way that we have done over these past few years.
We do not see this situation improving for a while yet and unfortunately it does mean that we cannot guarantee the live-stream will be broadcast every Sunday or as regularly as we would like.
We will try our best to broadcast when we can, but if we can't we hope you will understand and not be too disappointed.
At the time of updating this article on 1st June 2024, we know for sure that there will be no live-stream on Sundays 7th July, 14th July and 28th July.
If you are able to come to church in person, please do. It will be lovely to see you back and welcome new people into our sanctuary to share in fellowship with each other.
If you need some help to get to church, we may be able to arrange for someone to give you a lift there and back, subject to availability of drivers. Please let us know if this is something you would like to make use of.
Once again, our apologies for any disappointment you may experience if/when we are unable to broadcast on YouTube. Please be assured we are continuing our efforts to keep the service running.
