Services and other information for November 2025
and some advance notices for December 2025
Please listen and watch out for information about supporting the Glasgow City Mission in a ‘Shoebox Appeal’.
On Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm in the church, the choir continue their regular rehearsals. We would be delighted to welcome new people to join us.
Also, on Wednesday evenings at 7:30pm in the back hall, the Bible Study Group meet. This is a time to get together with others to explore more of the bible in detail.
November
On Saturdays 1st, 8th and 15th at 12:00noon in the church halls, the Saturday Lunch Club resumes. This is open to anyone and everyone.
Sunday 2nd at 11:00am morning worship, led by our minister, Matthew.
Sunday 9th at 10:45am we have our annual Remembrance Sunday Service which will observe the silence at 11:00am. We will be joined by the uniformed organisations. At the close of the service there will be an opportunity to make a donation towards the work of Erskine Veteran’s Village, and, Poppy Scotland.
After this, there will also be the annual act of Remembrance at the War Memorial, followed by refreshments in the St. Thomas’s Church Hall.
On Mondays 10th and 24th at 1:30pm, The Guild meet in the church halls.
Sunday 16th at 11:00am morning worship led by our minister, Matthew.
Sunday 23rd at 11:00am morning worship will be led by our minister, Matthew. This is known as Christ the King Sunday and is the last Sunday before we enter the season of Advent.
Tuesday 25th at 7:30pm, the Kirk Session meet in the back hall for a regular business meeting.
Sunday 30th at 11:00am is the First Sunday of Advent and will be our annual Gift Service to support the work of the Barrhead Foodbank once again. If you are able to donate small selection boxes and/or toiletry gift sets, that would be fantastic. As in previous years, we ask that you do not wrap gifts.
December
On Sundays 7th, 14th and 21st, our Boys Brigade will be offering their annual Christmas Card delivery service. Please watch out for more information about this, but please remember, they only deliver in Neilston!
Sunday 7th at 11:00am we will celebrate the Sacrament of Holy Communion.
Sunday 7th is also the annual village Christmas Tree Lights Switch-on Event in the late afternoon/early evening. There will be various stalls in the church halls where you can browse and buy some gift items, and we will likely be running our famous Hot Chocolate Stall once again. As always, volunteers will be needed for this!
On Sunday 14th in the afternoon, we will once again be hosting a concert by the Renfrew Burgh Band in the church. The time is still to be finalised so please watch out for more news about this also.
Plans for the remaining December Sunday morning services, Christmas Eve and Christmas day are in the final planning stages and more information will be published soon.
