Advent & Christmas Season 2023 Services and Events

The national Church of Scotland theme for this year is based on

the New Testament Gospel of St. Luke, chapter 2, verse 10:

'Do not be afraid for I bring you Good News.....'.

We have now finalised our local plans for services and other events

during this Advent and Christmas Season 2023.

We look forward to welcoming you to any or all of these.

Saturday 2nd December

Christmas Coffee Morning and stalls

10:00am-12:00noon in the church halls, High Street

Sunday 3rd December

11:00am Morning Worship - 1st Sunday in Advent

Gift service receiving donations of small selection boxes and

toiletry sets for the Barrhead Foodbank.

4:00pm-6:30pm Christmas Market in the Church Halls

including a hot chocolate stall ready for the switching on of

the Christmas Tree lights at 5:30pm

Sunday 10th December

11:00am Morning Worship - 2nd Sunday in Advent

Sunday 17th December

11:00am Morning Worship - 3rd Sunday in Advent

3:00pm-4:00pm Christmas Concert in Neilston Parish Church

with the Renfrew Burgh Band

Wednesday 20th December

7:00pm - Neilston Parish Church joint service with the Salvation Army Band and

the united choirs of the Neilston and Barrhead churches

Christmas Eve - Sunday 24th December - 4th Sunday in Advent

11:00am Morning Worship - Nativity and Christingle Service

11.30pm Watchnight Service

Retiring offering for Accord Hospice

Christmas Day - Monday 25th December 10:30am

‘Girls and boys bring your toys’

Sunday 31st December 2023

11:00am Joint service in Barrhead St. Andrew’s Parish Church

(We will be co-ordinating transport from Neilston to Barrhead for those who need it)
